Commissioned by Carleton College in 1966 as part of the college's celebration of its centennial year.

Detail of functioning fountain

The fountain was commissioned by the Mankato Area Foundation in 1977. Constructed on 48' by 48' floor area and is made of cast bronze, glacial boulders, living plants and lighting (see Text File tab for more information about the fountain)
